Emanuel and Vittoria are delightful hosts who always extend a very warm welcome and make sure that their stay is peaceful and relaxing. The Borgata Cantone dates back to the 18th century and is predominantly built of stone, a typical farmhouse of the Liguria region which blends harmoniously into the verdant vegetation of the wooded hillside.

All around the house there are small courtyards, intimate little corners and panoramic terraces offering fabulous country views. The summer kitchen has a hand-built stone barbecue and a dining terrace with a stone table that will seat up to eight. There’s everything you need to prepare your own barbecue or a romantic dinner under the olive trees. You just supply the food! If you prefer to let someone else take the kitchen strain, there’s a pizzeria jut next door and plenty of restaurants and trattorias around the area. For the most glamorous dining, head for Alassio where there’s something to suit everyone.

The salt-water swimming pool is accessible at any time. It’s surrounded by woodland yet perfectly catches the afternoon sunshine. Although small, there are elastic restraints for swimmers who are intent on working on their fitness without the need to keep making turns.

Breakfast is based on locally sourced organic produce. Bread, cereals, jams and honeys accompanied by teas, infusions, espresso or cappuccino. On request you could also choose a breakfast with organic eggs, local cheeses and cold meats.

There are two double rooms with queen-size beds en en-suite bathrooms with bath or shower.  Then there is the family suite which is a spacious room with private access and a living room with a sofa-bed, so this is ideal for a couple accompanied by two children. Finally for more space there’s the apartment with three bedrooms, a living room and a kitchen. All the rooms have proper facilities like air-conditioning, a flatscreen TV, a fridge, a safe and so on.
