A stay at Magazine Wood is a luxury escape from the humdrum or the frantic. This award-winning boutique bed and breakfast on the North Norfolk coast is one of the best places to escape from the city and enter a world of long walks, big skies, birds, seals and fabulous sunsets. Three private luxury guest suites are all independent from each other and have awesome interiors. The emphasis is always on privacy and relaxation with every room enjoying a private entrance and terrace.

A notable feature at Magazine Wood is the online concierge service. Each room is provided with a personal tablet computer from which guests can order breakfast, download a newspaper, organise restaurant bookings, plan days out, and much much more. This is complemented by in-room guest phones so anyone wanting more personal contact can pick up the phone and speak to a real human being.

The Anytime breakfast is a firm favourite with guests. Everyone can enjoy their own intimate breakfast in bed, on the private terrace or in their own personal dining area. Along with a cafetiere, kettle and fridge you will find a choice of muesli and cereals, fresh fruits, organic yogurts, fresh croissants, toast and orange juice. If you want a more hearty start to the day then a vast range that includes a full English breakfast,  meadow breakfast, smoked salmon, local kippers or smashed avocado on sourdough options can be ordered to arrive fresh from the kitchen.

The three suites at Magazine Wood are large, comfortable and exquisitely decorated. Each one includes a seating area, a dining area, an outside terrace with furniture, a private entrance and of course an en-suite bathroom. They all have a beautiful view and are on the ground floor for easy access.

Beauty treatments and massages are available in the privacy of your own suite, and these can be booked with Annette via the online concierge.

Magazine Wood is a perfect bed and breakfast choice for walkers to explore coast, country, fen and forest being located directly on the ancient Peddars Way and close to the Norfolk Coastal path. Just step out of the gate and turn left or right. North Norfolk is also a perfect destination for cyclists, especially occasional cyclists who don’t want to be bothered by big hills. The gently undulating landscape is interesting without being too challenging. Some of the best and most secluded Norfolk beaches such as Old Hunstanton, Brancaster, Thornham, Holkham and Wells-next-sea are just a short drive from Magazine Wood. There are lovely sandy beaches but also salt marsh and mud flats that are the haunt of seabirds and seals, really a bit of everything.

Magazine Wood has gained accolades galore, including The Sunday Times ultimate 100 British Hotels, Daily Telegraph Best Norfolk Hotels 2019, Michelin 2020 guide and the Good Hotel Guide 2020, to name just a few.
