The award-winning Craigadam Country House Hotel offers luxurious accommodation in the Galloway countryside about 15 minutes from Dumfries. Set in it's own grounds the hotel has a sumptuous drawing room with log fire and a billiards room with honesty bar.

There are seven luxurious suites each individually themed. Some are overtly Scottish like the Charles Rennie Mackintosh Suite, while others take on a more international flavour, such as the Chinese Suite. What they all have in common though is ample space and stylish and luxurious décor. All rooms have free WiFi access, a flat-screen TV, tea and coffee facilities and en-suite bathrooms.

There is also a self-catering cottage with three twin-bedrooms. Even these are individually themed, and the comfortable sitting/dining room has French windows and a lovely view of the orchard.

Host Celia specialises in game cooking (with many of the ingredients sourced directly from the estate itself) and dinners at Craigadam are relaxed and generous. Dinners are served country-house style, seated around a long, sturdy table in the oak-panelled dining room. After dinner, guests are welcome to relax with a drink by a cosy log fire in the drawing room. Alternatively, enjoy a game of snooker on the full-size table in the Billiards room, complete with accompanying honesty bar with a wide selection of drinks.

Craigadam enjoys an invigorating country estate setting, with bracing walks through the hills and by lochs and streams. It's an area ideal for walking, mountain-biking, fishing, shooting and golf.
