There are just two B&B rooms at Corner Farm, created by the building of a traditional timber-framed extension to the original farmhouse. Both rooms are linked to the main farmhouse by a timber-framed single storey dining room, which blends into a sun-room before joining the main house. Corner Farm is a working smallholding and provides almost all of the foodstuffs for a full English breakfast from the small range of animals that are reared in the smallholding. There are Tamworth pigs in the woods who happily grow into bacon and sausages, and a small flock of Buff Orpington hens who provide the eggs. The two rooms are named after these rare breeds, the Tamworth and the Orpington.

In front of the guest extension is a patio and garden with a hot tub jacuzzi for the exclusive use of guests. The sun room provides the guest lounge and breakfast is served in the dining room. Zero food-miles bacon, sausages and eggs are at the heart of the home-cooked breakfasts. There are other home-made products like the granola, and while the avocados come from further away, the smashed avocado is a real treat.

The Tamworth room has doors leading straight onto the patio (tinted, for privacy) and there’s a huge king-size bed with quality cotton bedlinen. The en-suite bathroom is as spacious as the bedroom and has a power shower, hairdryer and bathrobes provided. Being on one level it is suitable for guests with some reduced mobility.

The Orpington room on the first floor is accessed by a private staircase and has lovely views from a juliette balcony across the Suffolk countryside towards the Blythe valley. Just like the Tamworth, it has a beautiful en-suite bathroom, king-size bed and facilities like a television, DVD player and free wi-fi.

Corner Farm is well-served by local eateries from local pubs through to award winning fine dining restaurants. Just 10 minutes down the road is the Huntingfield Arms with a friendly atmosphere anf good pub food. The Lord Nelson in Southwold is famous locally for the quality of its fish and chips. The Fox and Goose in Fressingfield has a fine award-winning restaurant and Smokey Joes in Bungay is a family-run business with a wide range of grill food.

Corner Farm is situated at the north end of Suffolk’s Heritage Coast, close to the Victorian seaside town of Southwold and the pretty seaside village of Walberswick. The 40 miles of Suffolk’s heritage coast, almost all of which is set in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, offer a range of local attractions and great days out. There’s Leighton Abbey, the Pleasurewood Hills theme park, Minsmere RSPB nature reserve, Framlingham Castle and so much more.
