Masseria Le Lamie is a charming farm estate dating from the nineteenth century which combines the typical architecture of the Apulian Masserie with exciting design and the most modern comforts, giving an unforgettable experience deep in the Puglia countryside.

Surrounded by gardens, the Masseria has been the subject of a painstaking restoration that respects the tradition and culture of the place leaving its identity and beauty unaltered. The stunning swimming pool invariably draws compliments from guests and there is a multiplicity of secret corners throughout the garden for sunbathing, reading and quiet reflection.

The entire hotel is decorated with specially commissioned works of art and ancient artefacts gathered from the building and grounds during its restoration.

There is a strong culinary tradition in Puglia and Masseria Le Lamie is a place where that tradition is brought to life by the passion of the chefs in the restaurant. Organic produce from the market gardens are built into an intense gastronomic experience to delight even the most sophisticated palate. As they say at Masseria Le Lamie, “Life is too short for average food.”

The suites & rooms of Masseria Le Lamie are located in the original old farm buildings, the former homes of the agricultural workers and their horses. Today they provide modern guests with super-comfortable beds, wi-fi, television, a safe, a fridge, modern showers and an artisan stone wash basin. The double rooms date from about 1800 and have stone vaulting, antique wooden doors and craftsman-made chandeliers from Grottaglie. They were originally occupied by the farm owners. The family rooms are similar, one with a well within the room and the other with a wardrobe which was once a secret door to the stables.

The apartment suite stands out for its size (it accommodates six guests, with two bathrooms), its design and its luxury. Beyond the obvious luxuries the suite even includes a kitchen with a private chef and a dedicated massage service.

The hotel provides all manner of activities and tours for the guests who choose them. There are exclusive cooking classes with one of the resident chefs and a variety of bike tours ranging from 5km to 70km (the hotel can provide road bikes, mountain bikes and e-bikes). There is a ceramics course in Grottaglie and excursions to visit churches and cathedrals, local towns, caves and also horse-riding or a boat cruise from Porto Cesareo visiting some stunning beaches.
