The Giles Norman Townhouse is located right in the heart of Kinsale, overlooking the stunning harbour. The guesthouse rooms are an evolution from the Giles Norman Gallery and Studio, a creative space where Giles’s highly distinctive photographs are brought to life. The vision of the Giles Norman Townhouse is to build an interior aesthetic for guests that reflects both Giles’s artistry and photographic style.

The Townhouse is a Georgian building near the Kinsale waterfront that has been refurbished with exquisite good taste. It is located within walking distance of some of Ireland’s best restaurants, cafés and bars. Kinsale also has a wide range of entertainment to offer its visitors with plenty of land and water based activities, along with various historical tours, scenic walks and coastal drives.

All four guestrooms include tea and coffee-making facilities (a Nespresso machine), free WiFi, a flat-screen TV, luxury bed linen and goose down duvets. Naturally the walls are decorated with framed photos showcasing Giles’s photographic work. The Studio, The Ireland Suite and The Kinsale Room offer guests stunning waterfront views of the town’s marina, and feature a super-king bed, which can be converted into two singles. All rooms have elegant en suite bathrooms with rain showers and organic VOYA toiletries. The Studio is the most spacious of the rooms, featuring a living-room area, a free-standing bath and an additional sofa bed, which can accommodate an extra person.

Kinsale marks the beginning (or end) of the Wild Atlantic Way. This can certainly live up to it's name when the ocean rollers come crashing onto the shore. It can also bring a bright sun shining down out of a blue sky over a placid sea, when it would be hard to think of a better place to sit out and enjoy the solitude. The sheltered natural harbour at Kinsale is the favoured arrival point for yachtsmen crossing the Irish Sea so there is always activity in the huge natural harbour of the River Bandon. It’s only a short drive from Kinsale to Cork (so much to see and do), the spectacular peninsula of Old Head, the beaches at Dock Beach and Garretstown and the interesting village and estuary at Courtmacsherry.
