The Bay Hotel is set in an unspoilt coastal location, in the picturesque fishing village of Coverack on the Lizard Peninsula in Cornwall. Nearly every room in the hotel has stunning, uninterrupted sea views extending from the old lifeboat station in one direction, right across Coverack Cove to the rocky foreshore heading off in the direction of the Helford River and Falmouth. Just a stone’s throw from Coverack beach, the hotel position is ideal for strolling along the shoreline, sailing, swimming and dolphin watching. Coverack is also a perfect sheltered spot for kayaking, windsurfing and paddle boarding. The South West Coast Path is right at the bottom of the drive.

The garden of The Bay Hotel drops down in a series of terraces filled with flowers, shrubs and palm trees. On a sunny day this is a wonderful spot to relax and recharge the batteries, enjoy a Cornish cream tea or a glass of Champagne and just gaze at the sea, without traffic and crowds to disturb you.

Full English breakfast is available every day. Then from March to October the restaurant is open daily for dinner, light lunches and cream teas. The menu features fresh Cornish meat, vegetables, cheese and fish and includes the most local of lobsters landed in Coverack Cove. The bar has an extensive wine list, plus many Cornish gins and a range of local beers. Located in a glazed conservatory, the views from the restaurant are every bit as good as the rest of the hotel.

All guest rooms are decorated in mellow, seaside tones, and have fresh, crisp, white Egyptian sheets, fluffy duvets and nearly all have expansive views of the sea. They have flat screen TVs, hospitality trays with tea and coffee making facilities and en-suite bathrooms. There are a variety of rooms to choose from by size and price; ranging the from smaller Beachcomber rooms to larger Superior Bay View rooms and suites.

Coverack is a small village with thatched cottages, a working harbour, a few shops and cafes and a water sports centre for windsurfing, kayaking and paddle boarding. Situated on the Lizard peninsula (the most southerly point on the British mainland) there is a wealth of local attractions such as the Eden Project, Trelissick Gardens, the Lizard Lighthouse, Minack open-air theatre, St Michael’s Mount and the National Maritime Museum in Falmouth. The South West Coast Path winds all along the shore here, passing Lizard Point, the hotel itself, the Serpentine Rock quarries and the beautiful Helford River.
