Reasons to visit the Isle of Wight

There is something very special about islands, and the Isle of Wight is the UK's most accessible island, within 2 hours of half of England. The ferry or hovercraft will quickly whisk you across to a place that is both different and yet comfortably familiar.

From the Needles to Bembridge, and from Cowes to Ventnor, there is so much to see and do. You can potter through villages and down country lanes surrounded by greenery and quintessentially English thatched cottages. Or sample charming, traditional seaside resort at Shanklin.

Cowes is the world centre of sailing, and just a short distance away is Osborne House, Queen Victoria's favourite residence.
